1. Ranch Raised Longhorn Lean Beef

We raise the finest lean beef in the industry with Texas Longhorn Cattle! Texas A&M University says that Longhorn beef when raised and processed correctly is lower in cholesterol than white meat chicken. High in Omega 3 and 6, it is the healthiest red meat on the market. Our Ranch Raised and sold beef is so popular that we rarely advertise other than by word of mouth.

Searle Ranch—Producing Quality Cattle in Colorado Since 1974

Our family has been producing registered Texas Longhorn cattle for over 50 years.  In addition to marketing breeding stock across the US, we sell genetically lean Longhorn beef to families who want high quality, open-range beef that hasn’t been treated with steroids or fed a ration laced with antibiotics.  We don’t treat our pastures with chemical fertilizer or insecticides.  Processing is done under USDA inspection.

Our cattle graze on native grasses on our ranch near Monument and the Silverado Ranch at Ellicott, drinking from the spring-fed headwaters of West Cherry Creek or pure, untreated well water.   They are fed a non-GMO finishing ration which enhances taste and texture, while preserving the health benefits of being raised

on native grass, minerals and salt.  In the winter they get high quality hay and a protein supplement.

Searle Ranch Certified Texas Longhorn Beef is available in quarters, each including ¼ of all the cuts—sealed in Cryovac packages, marked, flash-frozen and boxed.  Standard cutting instructions call for         1-inch steaks and 1¼ -inch filets, roasts cut 3-4 lbs. and hamburger in 1-lb. packages.  The price is $9.50 / lb., hanging weight, for a quarter—with discounts to $9.25 and $9.00 for a half or whole beef.  Quarters will typically range from 120 to 150 lbs. hanging weight—priced in the $850-1,100 range.

  1. We specialize in 94% lean Premium Ground Beef in 1-lb. packages at $385 for a 35-lb. box.  For this superior ground beef we use the prime steaks and roasts, along with the smaller pieces that make up regular hamburger.  In very limited quantities, we offer petite filets (4-6 oz.) at $2.20 / oz. and chuck roasts at $10.00 / lb.

Customers pick up their beef at the Monument ranch—where it is stored in commercial freezers.  This lets you see where and by whom your meat was raised.

We try our best to maintain inventory year around, so that you won’t have to be on a waiting list.
